Approximately 130 first year students reside in uptown in two bedroom suites that accommodate four students. Additionally, the hall is staffed with five resident assistants who are upper class CIA students and a graduate hall director who are all there to help you adjust to college life. Each suite has central air, bathrooms in each of the two bedrooms, a nicely equipped kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, counters and storage. There's also a shared workspace with full size drawing tables and a space to pin up your ideas. At CIA, students collaborate a lot. They balance ideas off each other all the time and once they're in their majors, they each have their own studio space alongside their classmates. So these shared workspaces in our residence hall introduce that CIA spirit of collaboration from the very beginning of the college experience.
