Welcome to the Walden Library's brief tutorial  on the basics of copyright and fair use.   This tutorial should take  about 10 minutes to complete. Because this is a basic tutorial we don't expect  that you'll be a copyright expert by the end,   but our goal is that you'll at least understand  what copyright is, who it protects, and what it   protects. We'll also briefly cover what fair  use is and what it means for you as a scholar. Copyright law can be confusing, but don't  worry, we can at least make sense of some   of the fundamentals things that apply to  you as a scholar here at Walden University.
