well welcome to our 11th episode of ideas and lives today we're delighted to have dallas salisbury uh a longtime uh expert on pensions and retirement security for americans um and a good friend of my co-director tsv bodhi long-time friends introduce dallas and we can get started okay well dallas has uh quite a history as an entrepreneur in the public sector in fact one of our questions is what made him to decide to pursue a career in the public sector we'll get to that in a second but he founded uh something called the employee benefit research institute which uh is still a the go-to place in washington dc for anything you want to know about employee benefits and uh it was a research it's not a lobbying organization it is a research organization he'll tell us about that but not too long ago he followed the path many of us have taken into the later stages of one's career oops we we don't like the the r word retirement we don't because we're not retired and my guess is you're not retired
