- My name is Laurie Soine, and I serve in the role of Chief ARNP for UW Medicine. I also practice in cardiology at the UWMC Montlake campus, and have done so for about 22 years. UW Medicine employs approximately 480 advanced practice nurses, serving in the roles of CNS, certified nurse midwives, certified nurse anesthetists, and nurse practitioners. In the preparation of this video, I had the opportunity to mill about the medical center today and ask my nurse practitioner colleagues what drew them to UW Medicine and what are some of the most exciting parts about their practice here.
