If you're interested in reading peer-reviewed  research, it helps to have the conceptual   framework for understanding these studies and  the skills of reading and interpreting academic   studies. The skills are something that will  come over time, but what I'm trying to do in   this video is to give you a conceptual framework  that will help to build those skills more quickly.   I use as my example here the research on learning,  because that's what I spend a lot of time reading,   but if you're interested in a different topic  - especially in the social sciences - you can   probably substitute your topic every time that  I say the word "learning" and most of what I'm   saying will probably still apply.
