My name is Elliot Doomes and while I'm new to the position of the public building service commissioner, I've been working with GSA and PBS issues for nearly 20 years in Congress. But while I've been here, I've seen tremendous strides by both GSA, PBS, and partner organizations like the Southern Company, that have made sustainability and green energy solutions over the past many years. Since 2008, GSA has reduced greenhouse gas emissions from our own buildings by more than a million metric tons annually. And we've reduced these emissions by more than 51 percent. More than a decade ahead of schedule. The roadmap that this MOU lays out, furthers the work being done to reach these goals industry wide, and I'm proud to be a part of the process.
