the international women's media foundation was founded in 1990 by a group of women journalists who really wanted to highlight um women in the media and strengthen the role of journalists across the world joining the iwmf i must say my reporting skills were not really up to standard i must say i was working for a community radio station then which was last year during the fellowship program and being part of the program being part of the workshops being part of of the training of the field trips i was able to get like first-hand information as far as how to report on stories of this magnitude and we seek to have reporters who are particularly interested in improving their skills the investigative reporting skills and the hiv aids knowledge and so the way we do it is we really expose the reporters on the fellowship to a year-long program of networking individual coaching with a specifically selected mentor who works with them on their investigations field trips skills um training and the
