You should not lie in the self-appraisal form. Professors generally do not ask anything from the self appraisal form. But if they find out some extraordinary stuffs in your form, they may ask you about those topics. And if you do not know those topics properly, you will have higher chance of NOT getting selected for the fellowship. So, DO NOT write anything that you are not sure about.If I remember properly, in the form they ask, “What is your favorite subject?” and I mentioned Biology there. Head of the interview panel saw that and asked me about my favorite field of biology. When I told genetics, two professors started asking question from genetics and did not ask anything from any other fields at all (except exactly 2 chemistry questions as I mentioned chemistry as my 2nd favorite subject). Well KVPY interview is something on which I still laugh whenever I think about it .I Gave kvpy SA steam and I had a decent score in aptitude test nearabout 72.So my interview was on 5th February 2016 at JEE office ,IIT Delhi .I remember how me and my friends were thinking that the JEE papers are set here and we were wishing if we could get JEE papers before the exam was conducted from there :PSo mine was the evening slot 3–8 pm. My name was called, i entered the room and saw a panel of 5 people sitting around a parabolic table and a white board placed at the focus of the parabola .The thing which amused me was that they were having lunch out there . On the table there were fruits,juice,dal,curry,chapattis and cold drinks .it seemed pretty weird to me but I greeted the panel and they asked me to sit down . They asked me to have some orange juice which I politely abandoned but they kept insisting so I had to accept it . While I was having my orange juice the panel was reading out my self appraisal form .They asked me about my extra curricular activities which I had written . As I had written my favourite subject was maths it was pretty natural that they would start the interview from it . I would like to share a few “dirty secrets” of whatever I have dealt with in IT (writing helps me get rid of frustration, temporarily).I joined a very well known, at the tip of tongue MNC in 2017, straight out of college. I had high hopes and expectations. HAD.I was the only ASE in the project. My lead used to hit on me during lunch breaks. And during the other times, he would casually ping me asking me about my “personal life” and if I liked to drink. Even after telling him innumerable times that I don’t drink, he would keep pestering me. So after a month of this nonsense, I told him on his face that even if I drink, I would never drink with you. He never bothered me after that.After a few weeks, my lead changed. The new one was a female. And boy she had atti! I worked with another co-worker(8 years exp) and this piece of brainless shit Lead. These two women fucked me up for god knows what reasons. They always used to talk me down, laughed at me because “I didn’t know the technology I was working with”. I never received any form of KT from these two bootlickers. When I escalated the same to my manager, he took no action against them. I signNowed out to my HR. That s o b was good for nothing. He ignored me. I realized I am fucked.A few teammates( 29 yo horny f**ks) used to ping me incessantly. Asking me out on dates. Once they understood nothing was going to happen, they fucked me up. How? They started spreading “rumors” about me.Majority people here are bootlickers and cocksuckers.
