Right before falling asleep, in the pre-sleep stage, you mainly produce bursts of low-frequency waves and sporadic alpha waves. Once you fall asleep and enter stage 1 out of 4, you produce theta waves, which are characteristic of light sleep. Stage 2 differs from stage 1 in that you begin to see the presence of sleep spindles (bursts of brain activity) and K complexes (very high amplitude waves). In stage 3, delta waves become present, although they do not occur constantly. At this stage, the waves are large and slow, and you are entering deep sleep. Finally, during stage 4, delta waves become prominent and consistent, signifying very deep sleep.

I don't have any tests, diagrams or any scientific words to use here,  and I only know a little about brain waves so below is my personal assertion of   what I've noticed about myself.Delta = regulate heart beat, digestion, rejuvenation after deep sleep etc Gamma= information processing, difficult tasks, memory etcBeta=logical thinking, writing reading, extremely excited etcAlpha= helps us to stay calm and relaxed after being super excited/stimulatedTheta = connects us to our emotions1.  PersonallyI think I have low delta waves as most of us usually do, but perhaps mine is alittle lower than usual, as I have always had digestive and immune systemissues.2.  My gamma waves are average but I find when I am really hungry or have digestive issues it goes way down and I can’t even recognize faces,  sounds,  I sort of shut down.3. I have more bouts of beta waves than anything else, I just on and on and on and on about certain topics but it usually end with a crash that can last for days of me being quiet and regretting my excitement.  ................................ I don’t know that means I'm still trying to understand my feelings and reactions.4. Which brings us to my Alpha waves,  which I fight to get, I used to take etc  but usually I try to daydream, I make it an initiative to daydream once a day  about fantasies which helps me to connect with my emotions even if the situations are  FAKE5.  Theta: very low, which sucks because I am naturally creative but I fight to get the drive to draw or write these days.  Again, I’m still trying to figure things out............. and I am an Aspie ..tschuss
