Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. Saying “not enough people buy this, so you need to pay more for it isn't something most people like hearing,” and is mostly just a stopgap that doesn't really fix the underlying issues, so they swap them out for other, newer things.tl;dr, they're still in business exactly because they stopped selling those things.
