In terms of numbers, how many personnel did the Nazis use to carry out the extermination of Jews, Roma, homosexuals, and other undesirables of the Reich?
Hard to say. We do know that there were 40,000 concentration camp guards (most were not German) and 3,000 men assigned to the Einsatzgruppen in 4 separate detachments. However, they were supported by 12,000 men of the Ordung Politzie (order police) as well as units of Lithuanian and Ukrainian “helpers”. They did much of the killing.Further Wehrmacht units sometimes helped with killing as well. And there were collaborators and local “fascists” in every country in Eastern Europe more than willing to take part in the killing of Jews. In Croatia the Ustache slaughtered 60,000 Jews. The Romanians 300,000.So, the exact number of “killers”is not known.

What is the most brutal truth about World War 2?
The most brutal truth is that Joseph Goebbels was right about propaganda and every regime afterwards has either followed his teachings or perished under the ruthless political propaganda waged by other powers. And what was Goebbels right about? That whoever tells the tallest and stupidest lies wins the hearts and minds of people. People are more likely to believe ludicrous things than common-sense. Not only because of shock value (“what if this is true?”) but also because they assume good faith (“nobody would be brazen enough to tell this if it was a lie”). They also believe easily what goes in line with their prejudices. The role of press is to lie: “Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.”The press must lie towards a goal, instead of wasting time explaining what has already happened: “It is more important in propaganda to help plan a future event than to explain an already accomplished one.” You have probably noticed that the press published ever less stories about how and why things are happening, but there is always a lot of debate about what should be done and when. This is Fascism in a nutshell: action before reflection, reaction before understanding, movement before thinking.Political propaganda must be subtle: “The best propaganda is that which, as it were, works invisibly, penetrates the whole of life without the public having any knowledge of the propagandistic initiative.”Hitler once said that “the people, as a whole, is in a disposition and state of mind so feminine that its opinions and actions are determined more often by the impression caused to the senses than by pure reflection.”To undermine people’s ability to think rationally (which is already in short supply), propaganda must be cut down to bits and fed slowly. That way you won’t notice there is barely any propaganda at all, but the cumulative effects will create the desired effect. As Goebbels said: “It is tiresome to craft the weekly newscasts and make them into propaganda tools, but it is a rewarding work, as millions of people build their perception of war, its caused and effects, from the newscasts.” Again: don’t discuss the past, don’t reflect, don’t explain, don’t let people make questions. Feed them with a version. But things can get a bit harsh for the press when it reports what the government doesn’t want it too. Sure, the Washington Post survived well after reporting the Watergate, but that was because it had friends in the “deep state”, something that Julian Assange, who isn’t even an American citizen, has not.Propaganda aims to create a sanitised version of the status quo, in which those in power are legitimated and those challenging them must fight an uphill battle. This propaganda poster is actually gross. Good propaganda is not that blatant. Goebbels believed that propaganda should be in small bits and repeated to the point of saturation. It is more like this:In this apparently innocent film there are several propaganda tropes which are not apparent to the casual viewer (usually a child). But I happened to watch it with my daughters and had quite a talk with them about the key points of the plot, asking them questions so they could later think about them and find their own answers. I will share with you some of the contentious points of the story. In this story the group of heroes go after a mysterious crook who has gotten hold of some nanotechnology developed by a student named Tadashi, who’s recently been killed in an accident which also killed his mentor at the local University. Everyone suspects some villain has done this and there’s the perception that a ruthless entrepreneur who wished to control Tadashi’s inventions to make big money might have been the culprit. But they later find that the entrepreneur was actually planning to mass-produce that technology for the benefit of many, while the University professor wanted to patent it and used it for his personal goals. By the way, the professor had not been killed, but was alive and planning to “rule the world”™.This is, of course, capitalism in a nutshell. Children are subtly taught that entrepreneurs are good people who bring technology to the general public and honestly make their well-deserved money by making the dreams of researchers become true as consumer products. That’s the Silicon Valley ideology for dummies.I won’t dispute the validity of this interpretation. This answer is not about which political and economical ideology is best. I have mentioned this only to show you how indoctrination can be embedded even in apparently innocent works of art.Another very subtle example of this is “Wolf”, by Mike Nichols. In this film an editor is demoted from his post and cheated on by his wife. Good for him, however, he had been bitten by a werewolf and begins to display heightened senses, which help him find about his wife’s infidelity and about the shady tactics used by his successor to steal his position. He trumps over his enemy and lives to become a truer Wolf than DiCaprio’s character.Propaganda here teaches us that aggressive businessmen are virtuous (wolf-like). We should act as predators, dominating over our neighbours like a wild beast over its pack. The spirit of capitalism.Another ingenious example of propaganda is found in this film. Adapting Stephen King’s novella to the silver screen, Frank Darabont took some liberties with the story which deeply change its message. The fact that King himself supposedly “liked” the changes is irrelevant: King is not the same man he was when he wrote the story in 1980. Blessing Darabont’s changes is a way to retell his own story and retcon it.The mist is a disaster caused by careless military experimentation, which punctures a hole into another dimension, one full of monstrous life. As the creatures attack a small town and devour its inhabitants, a group of them finds shelter at a grocery store. The original novella satirised irrational reactions by religious people, embodies in Ms Carmody, who begins an apocalyptic cult based on biblical prophecies. As she creates a congregation and becomes hysterical, some characters try to escape the supermarket into a SUV, planning to drive away from town before the monsters invade. One of them kills Ms Carmody, breaking up the congregation, and they leave, though one of them, Ollie Weeks, is killed by a monster. There are two problems with this plot, from the point of view of state propaganda. One: it makes people believe that military research can bring about destructive consequences into people’s lives. Two: it makes people think that religion is not good. The government doesn’t want people demanding shutdown of research facilities or cutting down of military expenses. Those who control the government (religious psignNowers) don’t want religion to be shown as an obsolete thing. So they ‘fixed’ the story in two ways:First, instead of stopping the narrative as the car drives gently into the night (a scene from the original novel that reminded me of Dylan Thomas and left a deep impression on me, one that King’s works rarely cause), Darabont wrote an epilogue in which the main character decides to kill his new-found lover and his only child to spare them from the suffering at the hands of the monsters. He plans to kill himself later, but…This fix punished the lead character for his “lack of faith” in the religious psignNower, his mockery of prophecies and his mistrust of the government’s ability to solve the problem it caused. King’s original had already killed the murderer of Ms Carmody, though probably without moralising intention, as he was a “third wheel” and totally expendable by the point he died.Second, to dispel public mistrust in the government, the Good Old US Army kicks in, killing all ultra-dimensional monsters using rifles, mortar, flamethrowers, tanks and whatnot. Yes! The Great Good Old US Army can clean the mess it makes! Just wait and have faith!Because the main character didn’t have faith he killed his lover and his child. If he had faith, they’d be happy now, dozing under the sun and watching a giant lobster-squid twitch as the marines fry it with napalm.Instead of a pacifist cautionary tale about the dangers of meddling into the unknown, we have the pandering of jingoist militarism with a tint of legitimation of religious fundamentalism! You can see in each of these three examples how minor details can deeply change the interpretation and the ideology perceived by film viewers. If you want to learn more about how your mind is hacked so you believe what you are meant to believe I recommend you:The Gutenberg Galaxy, by Marshall McLuhanUnderstanding Media, by Marshall McLuhanManufacturing Consent, by Noam Chomsky and Edwar S. How can I get out of a sales contract on a used car if I believe the car lot misled me on the repairs completed but their is no right to recission agreement in place?
Most states in the US have a 3 days right of rescission on Automobiles & Homes. If its not too late, check your state. Many states also have Lemon Laws that say something to the effect of if they can’t fix it by the 3rd time, they have to buy it back. There are also FRAUD laws, that means if they told you a lie, in order to sell the car, they could be liable IF, and only IF you can prove that they said it. Which is NOT as easy as it sounds.

When you don't want to write out entire swear words, how do you fill in with symbols like A#$ - Are there specific symbols to use?
Thanks for the A2AWhen you don't want to write out entire swear words, how do you fill in with symbols like A#$ - Are there specific symbols to use?If there are any specific sets of rules for this, I haven’t heard of them and suspect they would be “house rules”, meaning specific to a certain publisher.I have seen anything from a random list of characters that don’t even match a correct number of letters ( ^#&^#* ) to all asterisks (******) to things that make it clear what the word was ( sh!t ) ( f***) or that make you figure it out ($#!+) .If you are not following someone else’s house rules, I suggest you pick what works best for you.If you don’t want the word to be obvious, then obfusicate it enough that it can’t be determined. If you want it to be silly and cartoonish, then make sure it doesn’t even look like something. If you want people to know, but don’t want to print the word, common practice in the media has been to do things like “ f-word” or “f***”.I don’t think there is any “standard”, so pick what works best for what you are doing. For more information on this, try looking into “Grawlixes”The Lexicon of Comicana - WikipediaYou can find some thoughts on their use here:What the @#$%&! Is a Grawlix?

The actual initial reaction used in airbags is 2NaN3 (s) 2 Na (s) + 3 N2 (g). How many grams of sodium azide, NaN3 must decompose to fill a 55.0-gallon bag? How am I supposed to figure this out with no conversion factor?
You can start with the ideal gas law PV=nRT and just assume standard pressure and temperature (obviously as the bag inflates that would no longer be true but for the purpose of the question just ignore that). You have the volume of the container you want to fill (55.0 gallons) and want to find the number of moles of N2 you’ll need to fill that container. So, n= PV/RT. Remember that the value that you use for the constant R is dependent on the units that you choose for P,V and T so make sure they all agree.Once you have the number of moles of nitrogen gas that you would need, you have the stoichiometric ratio of N2 compared to NaN3 (ie 3 to 2) and can figure out the number of moles of NaN3 that you would need in order to produce enough N2 to fill the bag. Then you just use the molar mass of NaN3 and the number of moles of NaN3 you need to find the mass (m=n/M).I’m not sure what “conversion factor” you’re talking about. If you mean changing from gallons to liters just look up a conversion online.

How can we pass query params in post API using Angular (I have to fill out the state dropdown based on the country ID)?
Ideally, query parameters are not meant to be passed with URL in POST API, as there is something called body which we already pass in POST request, parameter should be extracted from that. But if anyhow if you need to pass URL query parameters in POST request, you can pass normally how one pass in GET request with URL.For example,Url: “https://xyz.com/postApiUri?param...If you need to pass that query parameter in body then in request after URL parameter, you can pass the query parameter as key value pair(JSON object)For example,Request(url, { param1: value1}, {headers})Hope that helps (:
