It was legitimate since I actually had a lot of deductions at that time. But a couple of years I accidentally withheld too little money, more than a couple of thousand dollars. They corrupt the police so that the cops get the trouble-makers they don’t like off the streets, regardless of guilt and innocence, and then start them on a life of incarceration. A plumber or sewer cleaner. A body shop. A landscaper. Any sort of place where you do other people’s dirty work for them. Small businesses like that almost always need guys who are willing to work hard and not bitch. And they don’t ask very many questions, and they don’t often turn up their noses because of what you used to do.After you get on your feet, you might consider going into business for yourself.
