How does Kansas City, Kansas compare to Kansas City, Missouri?
I thought this could be helpful:https://www.sparefoot.com/moving...Dog-friendly restaurants and barsBringing your dog to happy hour or brunch is the best way to meet new friends who love to lavish attention on furry beings and the humans attached to them. Kansas City has plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops with outdoor seating where you can sip and dine with your doggie. (KC restaurants don’t don’t allow dogs inside due to health code restrictions.) Here are some of Kansas City’s most popular dog-friendly eateries and bars:Restaurants & bars:McCoy’s Public HouseWestport Flea MarketTannin Wine Bar & KitchenLa BodegaAixois BistroGrindersThe Westside LocalCoffee shops:Crow’s CoffeeKaldi’s CoffeeQuayCoffeeThe Filling StationLots of other coffee shops welcome dogs on the patio and have water bowls at the ready.Doggie day care and cage-free boardingYou’ll have no trouble finding doggie day care and cage-free boarding facilities in Kansas City. They’re everywhere, and most do a brisk business, so your dog will be in good playmate company.Veterinary careKansas City offers excellent veterinary care, ranging from inexpensive full-service or vaccinations and microchip clinics to super pricey animal hospitals. Brookside, a popular and fairly pricey neighborhood, has top-notch veterinary clinics but also the highest prices. You’ll find lower vet costs for equally good care in neighborhoods where housing is less costly. Kansas City metro area, which includes Kansas and North Kansas City municipalities, also has several 24-hour emergency and specialty hospitals.Off-leash parksKansas City, MO, is fairly unimpressive in its number of off-leash dog parks (only four), and most are a short drive to an area with few residents in the immediate neighborhood. However, KCMO’s off-leash parks are large (ranging from 1.5 to 5 acres) and well-maintained, with small and large dog areas, high fences and doggie drinking fountains. You’ll also find several off-leash areas in neighboring municipalities, and your dog can even swim in the lake at the 53-acre Shawnee Mission Dog Park.Sustenance for dog soulsNot only do several churches offer their annual “dog blessing” day, your mutt can howl along with the choir every Sunday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, which lets you bring your dog to services.Dog-friendly eventsYou can bring your leashed dog to the Plaza Art Fair, a weekend event that attracts around 250,000 people every September or the Brookside Art Annual, a smaller but impressive art fair. Lots of people bring their dogs to First Fridays in the Crossroads Arts District, and Kansas City has lots of outdoor festivals but not all of them allow dogs, so check each festival’s website for pet rules. Also check dog rules for farmers’ markets in Kansas City. The River Market City Market doesn’t allow dogs but the Brookside Farmers’ Market does, so check first before leashing your Saturday romping buddy for some homegrown tomato shopping

How safe is it to live in Kansas City?
It is quite safe in Kansas City, both on the KS and MO side. Now obviously there are neighborhoods within the metro one could say are less safe than others. However, that will be found anywhere in world one goes. But I would not say these neighborhoods are not safe. They may be less maintained, but that isn’t a reflection of the character of people who live there. Not to mention with the layout of Kansas City, MO the neighborhood changes from one block to the next. Fro example, the Plaza is considered a well off area, but you could go a couple of blocks away and be in a lower income area. If you are concerned with the types of neighbors you have I recommend living in the suburbs in the outer parts of Kansas City. The downtown and midtown parts of KC you have variety and lots of great establishments surrounding you. Outer limits or right outside KC, like Liberty or Lee Summit, are suburban and family oriented. There will not be much to go do unless you drive to the downtown/midtown areas. Which practically everyone does because the city is huge!

If something was mailed out from Kansas City, Missouri how long will it take to get to West Monroe, Louisiana?
Not enough information. Depends on method of shipment (some items at only allowed by ground transportation), class of mail, weather, size of mail, additional services (ie: certified mail) and time /place of initial submission to usps. I am sure I forgot something. But you get my drift. The best way to find out would be to ask a postal clerk in the post office. The individual will have most of all of the facts at that time. Of course unforseen circumstances could alter that estimate.Estimates are not guaranteed.

So, how *does* Shanghai compare to Kansas City anyway?
Actually, if you visit Shanghai, you gonna be quite impressed. If you first visit China, Shanghai definitely would make you feel like “Is this China?” In many ways, it’s not China.. it’s so westernized, and you don’t find such traits in many other Chinese cities. But Shanghai is really a fun place to live. It’s quite diverse, and can fullfill all kinds of your needs.(Tianzifang, a popular place in Shanghai, filled by bars, shops and fashionable youngsters. Picture from Baidu)Shanghai is also a good place to work at. With top companies, good market..As China’s image, Shanghai is built to be one of the best cities in China. High tech products, cool buildings, new experiments… it’s a place to show off China’s economic development. In Shanghai, you gonna feel that buzz, that boom. your life can be very busy and interesting. But it comes with the high price. The property is quite expensive there, even the rent. You gonna need to get used to crowded subways, traffic jams and small apartments.I generally find American cities are slower paced, unless you are in New York, Washington and other megacities. So I don’t know why you compare these two cities… Shanghai and Kansas city. I would say Shanghai is somehow in the middle of Kansas City and New York. It’s busier than Kansas City, dirtier than it and bigger.

How many miles away qualifies you for out-of-state tuition? Lets say A guy wants to go to school in Kansas City, Missouri, but lives in Topeka, Kansas 64 miles away. Even though Kansas City is so close, would he have to pay out-of state-tuition?
The school in question can answer this. Many public schools in metropolitan areas near state lines offer limited reciprocity two students who live across the state line but are you nearby counties. For example, UMSL offers in-state tuition two students from 22 Illinois counties; I know this because there's a giant billboard on I-64 just across the Mississippi River stating this fact. I don't know this for a fact, but I suspect that the arrangement is reciprocal with SIUE.In addition, some states offer for reciprocity; if you are a resident of Minnesota or Wisconsin, you can go to the other state’s schools and pay the tuition for one of your state’s equivalent; for example, Minnesota students can attend the university of Wisconsin – Madison and pay University of Minnesota Twin Cities tuition rates.Based upon the question, I suspect you want to attend UMKC. All you need to do is contact them, or the other appropriate school.

After dark in rural areas neighborhoods. If you're nearby any kind of bars or attractions it's different, use your brain and your eyes. Leave unnecessary baggage or valuables in your car hidden.
