Besides the form called a “visa” some countries that do not require a visa do require an alternative, sometimes called a “tourist card.”Some countries, such as Chile, require these only from people bearing a passport from a country, such as the USA, that requires a visa for visitors from that other country. Chile’s system is different now, but years ago, the fee exactly matched the the price the USA’s charged Chileans for a VISA. It was paid at a counter at the airport just before passport control.

If you don;t know what contract rate is for your field of specialty at your hometown, you can easily look for employment opportunities and probably find a position listing the going rate. If not, you can call the recruiter and inquire about it, as if you are a job seeker.

Do not worry about _ travel history. If you have not travelled to other countries that is OK.Tourist Visa’s can be easy to obtain or difficult, depending on situations. You have read everything and know some basic requirements, which you will meet. Including having the money to cover all your costs for 3 months.Question - Are you coming from a developed country or a developing one?If you are coming from a developing country, the onus is on you to satisfy the government that you will depart Canada before the Visa expires.Good Luck

I’ve had this argument a few times with various Brexit-supporting rock music fans. It’s a subject quite close to my heart. The discussion usually starts with discussion of bands from Europe appearing at UK festivals.Basically, there’ll be less of them, and the ones who do come will charge more money since the Pound will be worth less (the general consensus is that the Pound will drop roughly to parity with the Euro after Brexit). Assuming a hard Brexit and no customs union membership (which seems to be the current direction of travel), there will be customs checks and quite possibly visas to be applied for. This will put a lot of these bands off and may make it uneconomical for them to play in the UK.This works the other way around too - during my gigging days, I was lucky enough to get to tour on the continent in a couple of bands on several occasions. I play rock/metal music and there’s a big audience for that in places like Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands. It’s also a rite of passage for British bands who are trying to ‘make it’ to go and play on the continent and try and grab a little piece of that audience.It was easy. Load up the van, drive to Dover, get the ferry, and just go. Had to show my passport precisely once, and no customs declarations, no visas, etc. This was typical for bands trying to get an audience and doing things on a shoestring - the money we got for gigs immediately went on diesel, B&B accommodation and cheap food, so there was no real profit to exchange back into £ when all was said and done.Post-Brexit, bands who are at the level we were at won’t be able to do this anymore. It’ll be too expensive and more stressful than it’s worth. Customs checks, visas, etc are more than a band starting out can really handle, both financially and logistically. Sure, you could save on the hassle of customs checks if you didn’t bring all your own gear and rented backline when you got there, but that’s another expense that these kind of bands can ill afford.Because of all this, venues in Europe will be more reluctant to book bands from the UK, as there’s a good change they might not show up! And if they do, they’ll be looking for more money to offset the additional expenses and hassle they’ll have to go through to get there.The whole thing is a fucking shitshow.

The question here should be how when you get in Canada that you can stay permanently. The “questioneer” doesn't state where they are from, so the answer can be a bit null and void.

I felt the same too.I am an average looking girl, working in IT with a meagre salary. I have to think twice before buying something or before going out on weekends. Also I don't have too many friends still when I open Facebook all I see is happy people. Everyone just seems to have everything in their life. They are rich, pretty, wear nice dresses, have amazing BFFs to hang out with, visit expensive restaurants, travel to different places. In short, they all seem to have an amazing life. It always made me sad. I thought only my life was depressing. I used to dig deep through people's profile and make myself more miserable. Whenever someone would post some new pics it used to depress me.But then One day I suddenly made up my mind and deactivated fb. I just couldn't take it any more. Initially I was tempted to open fb a lot but then as days passed I started feeling better. Initially I used to spend hours on fb but now I utilize those hours for right purpose like reading a lot of answers on Quora, reading Newspapers, watching entertaining or educational videos on YouTube. It feels better now. My mind is free of junk and I am happier than before.PS: I am back in fb again due to various MBA based forums which send info only on fb. I am joining IIM C and all the important info are discussed only on the fb group. :(
