hi I'm Dave Jepson the director of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare if you receive Medicaid coverage in Idaho I have some important information to share with you during the federally declared covid-19 Public Health Emergency states were not allowed to remove anyone from Medicaid with few exceptions that is changing recent Federal Law requires states to re-evaluate whether people still qualify for Medicaid and to remove idahoans who no longer qualify for Medicaid starting April 1st 2023 there are about 150 000 people in Idaho currently enrolled in Medicaid who may not still be eligible we are ready to work with these idahoans to determine if they still qualify for Medicaid starting February 1st and continuing through July our plan is to notify about 30 000 of these people a month telling them they need to contact us so we can determine if they are still eligible for Medicaid we will reach out via mail email phone and text if they don't qualify they will be able to discuss thei
