[Music] hi my name is erin degrave and i am the wisconsin wic association chairperson and i work as a wic nutritionist at the city of milwaukee health department in the great state of wisconsin i have the opportunity to see just how impactful and life-changing the wic program is every day child nutrition programs like wic touch millions of children each day and improve educational achievements economic security and health outcomes these programs including wic have not been fully reauthorized since the healthy hunger free kids act of 2010 so it is long overdue the child nutrition reauthorization act or cnr would authorize all federal school meals and child nutrition programs ensuring that children have access to healthy and nutritious food and we have the opportunity to get that passed this year join the national wic association and alongside 12 000 public health agencies as we advocate for the passage of child nutrition reauthorization before the end of the year eating patterns are set
