Maine's Commissioner of Health and Human Services says she's just as frustrated as everyone else at shortcomings of Maine's Child Protective Services at a hearing of the legislative committee looking into failings in the CPS system. Commissioner J Lambrou acknowledged there are still big problems, especially when it comes to the workload of child services case workers, many of whom are leaving the agency. But Senator Lisa Kim Grilled Lamb saying there needs to be a greater sense of urgency to fix those problems. I I just don't hear enough that coming from the department that makes me think that the changes are, are coming soon enough. We share the sense of urgency. We have ideas, some of which we talked about here today. We welcome your ideas as well. Also facing some tough questions from the committee was acting Director of Child Protective Services. Bobby Johnson, a 25 year veteran, she took over the agency after Todd Landry resigned from the post in late November.
