hello this is drew preston with nebraska medicaid today's presentation will cover the basics of heritage health adult nebraska's medicaid expansion program to begin our discussion today we'll begin with some background information on expansion beginning in fall 2020 nebraska is extending medicaid coverage to adults between the ages of 19 and 64 who earn up to 138 of the federal poverty level this is an annual income of about 17 dollars for a single person living alone we'll provide a few more income examples on the next slide the difference between adults who have been on medicaid in the past compared to this new group of adults is that adults in the past either had to have kids or dependents or have other different types of health needs such as a disability throughout this presentation you'll see the term heritage health adult or hha for short this is the name of the program nebraska medicaid has built for medicaid expansion so you may sometimes hear both terms used heritage health ad
