I had the opportunity over the Thanksgiving weekend to crew for my friend Holly and her super talented Asgard bred Arabian, Poete, at the JD's Carolina endurance ride in South Carolina this Annual Ride always takes place the weekend following Thanksgiving and I was told it's been going on for some 30 years this year the ride offered ride and tie teams an intro ride a 30 mile limited distance and endurance distances of 55 65 75 and 100 miles it was sanctioned by the AERC, the American endurance Ride Conference, the SERA, the Southeast Endurance Riders Association and this year it also had International sanctioning by the FEI, the International Equestrian Federation. So a number of riders were able to get both aerc qualifications and completions as well as International completions this was a well-attended ride some 80 Riders participated and rode in the various distances and it also included several Junior Riders who were riding in 55 Mile and 100 mile rides here are some sights and sce
