one one thank you very much for joining us tonight for what i think is going to be an interesting and informative and very important discussion what we are seeing in this country in a moment of mass income and wealth inequality at a time when real wages for working families have been stagnant for almost 50 years at a time when some 90 million americans don't have any health insurance or they are underinsured at a time when 45 million people are dealing with student debt and when we have a housing crisis but we have a whole set of crises facing the working families of this country what we are seeing appropriately enough is a significant increase in labor organizing activity we're seeing historic advances being made at amazon we're seeing workers all over the country organized at starbucks shops we've seen apple being organized we're seeing in my home city in other parts of the country residents medical doctors and hospitals organizing uh we're seeing uh adjunct professors on college cam
