our mission is to make a county a healthier place and we try to do that uh by by changing and shaping the community and social conditions that allows people to uh be able to keep healthy and one of the things we do is that we uh couple these uh policies and system level changes to kind of help people be able to enhance their lifestyle so that they can maintain their health the focus of our work is to partner with communities across Los Angeles County to help promote healthy eating and active living and the focus of our work is not just to help families make healthier choices but to help change environments systems and policies to help ensure that everyone has access to healthy nourishing and culturally relevant food and we don't do this work alone we partner with a variety of different sectors including early childhood education school districts Healthcare food pantries and community- based organizations many families lack access to healthy nutritious foods and that lack of access can
