I was diagnosed with colon cancer about four years  ago and I have to say it's the maybe best worst   thing that ever happened to me I'm Gina I live  in Evanston Illinois with my husband and the four   children we share between us before cancer most  of my life focused on on work all hours of the   day weekday weekend I started to notice that when  we were ordering dinner the only thing I wanted to   eat was potato I was telling that story to my boss  and she said Gina that's not normal have you lost   any weight recently and in fact I had lost some  weight and she said you need to go to your doctor   it took me quite a while to get a colonoscopy I  got to the point where I was sleeping most of my   weekends to try to recover I got an appointment  and just prior to that I was lying in bed with   my husband and I felt a mass under my rib and I  remember that night we went to bed holding hands   because we knew then that something was wrong the  doctor who per
