[Music] direct access has changed the way the population can access physical therapy this is one of the most exciting movements and physical therapy that has occurred and it's something that we've been working toward it as a board for a number of years now this movement starts with the paradigm shift in the education system now all graduating physical therapists have what we call a DPT or a doctorate of physical therapy and with that additional curriculum we are learning now how to differentially diagnose and what that means is we can take patients off the street without a referral depending on your state so always want to check your State Board in New York for example we can see a patient without a referral for 30 days or ten visits whichever comes first and we have now the skills and the knowledge to refer out when necessary if we don't need to refer out or have no need for imaging we will keep you in house and treat you and we will let your physician know if we need to keep you in h
