welcome this session is on Advisory Committee best practices I'm Michael vos the Dean of Career and Technical Education at Mesa Community College well I've been waiting a long time to share this information so here we go this is a brief overview of what we'll be covering and what I like about this presentation is it's not all generated by me many of these ideas for best practices were shared with me by accreditation site visitors and other faculty and program directors achievement coaches and in some of my thoughts as well so here's here's a list of several of them and here's a few more and then we're going to go ahead and dive into the details so meetings must contain action items so we want to prevent these advisory beings from becoming information only you want to look to have double the number of action items compared to the information items those members want to feel that their time is is just really worth you know is worth it when they show up and go so they want to see the valu
