in this video let's take a look at resetting form values in react hook form to reset form values we can make use of the reset method that is returned by the use form hook which we can destructure from the form object this reset method allows us to reset the form values to the default values let's add a reset button to invoke the reset method so button type is equal to button text is going to be reset and on click we're going to invoke the reset method we have just destructured back in the browser when we fill in the form details and click on the reset button we can see that the form values are reset to their default values it's important to note that when we reset form values using the reset method the values are not cleared but rather set back to the default values that we initially defined in our form this can be useful when we want to clear the user entered values in the form and start fresh but still retain any default values or initial values that we may have set another scenario
