[Music] good morning everyone this time we're doing some test pitting it's November on the island so it's very rainy Tim from West here is using little 17 mini excavator to dig some test pits here right now we're targeting about 0.8 meters he's just about there you can see that light brown that's the soil layer we're going for we've got 18 test pits just like this one across the site where we are going to sample the soil for metals just something to keep in mind if you're digging some deeper test pits uh it's nice to have a big machine that can scoop some soil from the depth that you want instead of having to jump into the test pit while Tim's digging over there on test pit three there's another location he cleared here today so that we don't hit any underground utilities Tim has hit his Target depth just pulled out his last Bucket from the bottom of the test pit here got some nice in-situ soil he's bagging it up he's already labeled it with its depth and then he's going to take all th
