[Music] now that you've gotten some details about your procedure we'd like to preview an important step in achieving top quality results the pre-admission screening process part of what makes New England Baptist Hospital one of the premier orthopaedic centers in the country is our extremely low rates of post-operative infection and readmissions to the hospital following surgery a key factor in this is our intensive pre-admission screening process that allows us to get to know you as an individual assess your health needs and start planning for your recovery to do this we schedule a half-day appointment with each patient a few weeks before surgery you'll come to the hospital and spend three to five hours meeting with different members of your care team and you'll get necessary tests done parking is available in front of the hospital and after checking in at the patient access desk in the main lobby you'll go to the pre-admission screening office there you'll have a full medical history
