Cooperative has donated to the Seeley Swan Search and Rescue as part of their "roundup for safety" program. The program is funded by members who choose to round up their electric bills to the next dollar. That money goes into this fund. The Swan Mission Search and Rescue provides services in the swan valley and northern lake county areas. They were given 13- hundred dollars in order to boost their rescue efforts. Swan mission search and rescue president, Carol Fields says they will be using the money to purchase new transceivers, a devise used to local people buried in avalanches. She says the old transceivers they used worked fine but these new ones have features that will allow them to reach their goal of being quick and efficient during rescue missions.
