my name is Aaron McDonald and I'm one of the neurosurgeons at AnMed and I've been here I just celebrated my 25th year anniversary at AnMed I grew up in Atlanta and so I went to Georgia Tech for my undergraduate degree and then from there I went out to Augusta Georgia and I lived there for 10 years at the Medical College of Georgia and I did both my medical school and got my medical degree and then I did a six-year residency in neurosurgery in Augusta and from that was in 1997 and then I came to Anderson I've been here ever since when I was a teenager my father was diagnosed with a brain tumor and so he had several surgeries and it was kind of a long protracted thing and so that was kind of an influential time in my life and so that's how I got interested in neurosurgery and and talking with his doctors and surgeons and decided wasn't sure if I could do it or not we didn't have a physician in our family but then I decided to go ahead and try and went to Medical School from Georgia Tech
