you thank you for joining us for the 2018 college access advocacy day webinar I will be somewhat of your hosts as well as our executive director of brandy Johnson and two of our other staff members Dominique Clinton and Emma Walton I college access advocacy day will will be taking place on Wednesday April 25th 2018 so just a refresher the Michigan College access network works each and every day to increase college readiness participation and completion in Michigan particularly among low-income students first-generation college going students and students of color when we talk about college we have broken down the word using four definitions one we consider college as post-secondary education we use the term college to refer to a payment of valuable secondary credentials beyond high school including professional technical certificates and academic degrees we also believe that college is a necessity that post-secondary education is a prerequisite to success in a knowledge-based economy w
