I received an email from the US Army that directly answers your question that is pasted below please keep reading.I believe you are the victim of a military Romance Scam whereas the person you are talking to is a foreign national posing as an American Soldier claiming to be stationed overseas on a peacekeeping mission. That's the key to the scam they always claim to be on a peacekeeping mission.Part of their scam is saying that they have no access to their money that their mission is highly dangerous.If your boyfriend girlfriend/future husband/wife is asking you to do the following or has exhibited this behavior, it is a most likely a scam:Moves to private messaging site immediately after meeting you on Facebook or SnapChat or Instagram or some dating or social media site. Often times they delete the site you met them on right after they asked you to move to a more private messaging siteProfesses love to you very quickly & seems to quote poems and song lyrics along with using their own sort of broken language, as they profess their love and devotion quickly. They also showed concern for your health and love for your family.Promises marriage as soon as he/she gets to state for leave that they asked you to pay for.They Requests money (wire transfers) and Amazon, iTune ,Verizon, etc gift cards, for medicine, religious practices, and leaves to come home, internet access, complete job assignments, help sick friend, get him out of trouble, or anything that sounds fishy.The military does provide all the soldier needs including food medical Care and transportation for leave. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. I am just trying to show you examples that you are most likely being connned.Below is an email response I received after I sent an inquiry to the US government when I discovered I was scammed. I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience).Do a search on the potential team.Before the interviews,  try to find smart question that you are going to ask for the potential host (do a search on the team  to find nice and deep questions to impress your host). Prepare well your resume.You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. You should pick the club that aligns with which skills you want to accrue and what you expect from yourself after you come out from college.Making your decision taking process simpler...here I list down some of the clubs along with the end outcome that you will be achieving after joining them:Industry and Alumni Relations Team: To me its one of the best teams to join in college. Helps you network well will alumni who are at good posts. When you meet them, interact with them and research about them..you can get a broad perspective of what all is possible with NIT Jamshedpur's alma mater and with this realization you can plan your career better. Also you will actually be helping other teams get funds and use alumni contacts.Thanks Priyanshu Kedia for suggesting me this necessary edit.Nukkad Team: “Have been an interovert/ ambivert in school but now want to explore what it is like to present yourself in front of public?” then this is where you can explore your extrovert side and battle your fear from stage. My juniors who want to inculcate good salesman skills should join this club.Fashion Team: Best team to join if you want to make bf/gf. I don't want to sound controversial but yes if interaction with opposite sex is something that scares you then you should give this team a shot. Also remember fashion is not about looks its more about grace+attitude. Want to be graceful and develop class then join this team.LDS: This team I personally don't like because of their criteria of selecting only those students who have good speaking skills from school and is more of club with show off but still give it a shot…they do practice a lot of GDs and literary stuffs like potpourri and stuff.FACES: Good to acquire marketing skills( Trust me finding the right marketing strategy requires creativity and thinking out of the box) and to explore the creative side in you. Good to join if you want to work in future in some creative industry like head of design at xyz company. Also good to explore your hobby in art and craft further.Quizzing team: Geek stuff but the fact that you did quizzing in college sounds good when you write it in CV while applying for MBA colleges. Future managers should give this club a thought.Gaming Club: CS, Dota, Fifa…after you come out of college you will meet many people who did this in college. Joining this club will help you pass time nicely, not feel lonely in college and is really a good club for those who know how to live life while staying away from limelight.Tech teams: Good to join if you want to keep yourself busy in college and do something interesting… but trust me they are of very less use outside college. It will be small part of your life an after you will come out of college the achievements in these tech teams will be gone. But yup! For learning team skills, how to work in teams, how to have fun with teams, how to be efficient and work under resource constraints..these teams are good!Beatbreakers: For those who take life very seriously- My advice to you is to join this team. When you will come out and start your life in metro like Delhi, Pune or Bangalore you will surely hit pubs with your office colleagues and then these dancing skills will help. Also its good to fill fun in your life rather than making it boring and monotonous in while you are in college.Fest organizing teams: Not of much use except you will learn one skill of how to get the work done in toughest situations. Getting the job done by making professors agree to your POV(point of view) is really gonna help you in your life. Also you can be the king of the well and show off in college if you join this club. Risk is others might hate you!HEC council and Student Council: Its okay. Again if you have never been in power before you should try to get into these and get the taste of how it feels to be a leader. I have seen my batchmates who were stupid kids when the joined college but started making wise decisions once they came in power and the responsibility of the post came on them. Give it a shot. Will help you fight loneliness but again will be a tedious responsibility and might let others hate you.Manthan or magazine team: Really a good team. I remember Subham Joshi- one of my batchmate- and Palekar sir giving this team their best work. It is the only team that delivers a product( magazine) which is consumed by 500–600 people in college. A lot of brainstorming on what content to include in this issue, how to source the content, how to design and all is involved. Good to join but make sure that you utilize your time wisely.VOICE or JSD: Hare Krishna club. This club is good for getting free kheer, sweets and sometimes remembering god when all you think in my NIT Jamshedpur is beer, vodka and weed. Jokes apart! Its a club that I will advice you guys to stay away. Message me if you wanna know why!Gym club: I guess its not there in NIT Jamshedpur yet but start going to Royal Gym near gopala sweets and you will make friends with many other fitness lovers in college. This place was my mecca and temple when I was in college. Join this if you want to look good and atheletic!Sports teams: Advantages- Team skills, helps fight loneliness, helps you pursue your hobby in cricket, badminton or TT, maybe good to interact with people of opposite sex untill and unless you play badminton and not hockey! :PThat's all the clubs I remember as of now, my juniors, from NIT Jamshedpur! If any club was formed after 2017 then I might not have context about it. Few clubs I intentionally left..like SSS, NSS, One social service club that teach poor kids etc.Advice- Enoy your stay in NIT and think in long run before joining a club!
