General principles1. Not all metals are incompatible with MRI (see MRI Compatible Metals). MRI-compatible metals are often used to construct implants and orthopedic devices. 2. A device made of MRI-compatible metal can still pose a risk to the patient if the function of the device is altered by the magnetic field, e.g. pacemakers, neurostimulators.3. Some implants,leads, and other devices pose a risk because they can heat up during the scanning procedure.4. Tell the technologist if you have medical or electronic devices in your body, because they may interfere with the exam or potentially pose a risk, depending on their nature and the strength of the MRI magnet. 2. Many implanted devices will have a pamphlet explaining the MRI risks for that particular device. If you have the pamphlet, it is useful to bring that to the attention of the technologist or scheduler before the exam. 3. Some implanted devices require a short period of time after placement (usually six weeks) before being safe for MRI examinations. You should notify the technologist or radiologist of any shrapnel, bullets, or other pieces of metal which may be present in your body due to accidents. 7. Foreign bodies near and especially lodged in the eyes are particularly important. 8. Dyes used in tattoos may contain iron and could heat up during MRI, but this is rarely a problem. 9. Tooth fillings and braces usually are not affected by the magnetic field, but they may distort images of the facial area or brain, so the radiologist should be aware of them.10. Jewelry and other accessories should be left at home if possible, or removed prior to the MRI scan. Because they can interfere with the magnetic field of the MRI unit, metal and electronic objects, they are not allowed in the exam room. In most cases, an MRI exam is safe for patients with metal implants, except for a few types. By varying the parameters of the pulse sequence, different contrasts may be generated between tissues based on the relaxation properties of the hydrogen atoms therein.”So the long and short of it is that the portion of your body that is being scanned will be subjected to magnetic fields of varying strengths.So anything that will be affected by magnetic fields should be pointed out to the technician as the things that can happen will range from “just” localized heating and/or burns to objects literally causing physical tearing/piercing damage as it is manipulated by the strong magnetic fields.So things that react strongly to magnetic fields, like surgically implanted subdermal magnetic implants, iron/steel piercings/studs, steel/iron/nickel/etc. that might have gotten embedded into the body(steel jacketed casings, nails, screws, razor blades, shrapnel, etc.) would be pulled around inside of your body causing serious lacerations/tissue damage.Other things, which aren’t strongly influenced to move by magnetic fields, but are electrically conductive(aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, gold, silver, etc.) would have a current induced into them perpendicular to the direction of the field. I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience).Do a search on the potential team.Before the interviews,  try to find smart question that you are going to ask for the potential host (do a search on the team  to find nice and deep questions to impress your host). Prepare well your resume.You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. It takes some time to get ready for the host matching (it's less than the technical interview)  but it's worth it of course.
