To the former (illegal) pot dealers of Colorado, how has your "business" been affected?
Not an illegal pot dealer in Colorado, but I know more than a few through the industry. Most are doing just fine. The illegal growers are generally still in business. A lot of dispensaries still purchase from them because Colorado still hasn't approved enough cultivation facilities to keep up with demand. Some dispensaries have to purchase products illegally otherwise they'd be out of product most of the time. Funnily enough, from what I’ve seen, the illegal grows take their bud quality and safety much more seriously than the larger corporate entities. For the small-time dealers, a lot of them have jobs in the legal industry now. Some dispensaries and delivery services are hiring them as contractors to pick up their clientele. Dispensaries get more business, dealers get a new job and don’t have to worry about prison time.

What is it like to live in Boulder, CO?
edit: Made a major edit to this answer at the bottom.I've been here 2 months (so I've got that newness bias) but I'll give a quick take:Living in Boulder is like living in a small, safe, clean mostly caucasian beautiful city surrounded by tons of access to nature/mountains. The inhabitants of Boulder tend to be well educated, traveled, attractive, in shape, and down to go into nature. Here's my longer take on the advantages/disadvantages:I lived in San Francisco and Seattle before this. I realize those are very different large cities but it's hard for me not to compare some.Boulder is friendlier than places I've lived before. It's much easier here to walk around (day or night) and strike up conversations with people. As an example, baristas in slick fancy coffeeshops tend to be welcoming and relaxed whereas in SEA/SFO, I found them to be snooty and cold.Boulder has a lot more attractive women. And I don't just mean the sorority girl types from CU (local uni), I mean there are all sorts of incredibly intelligent, confident, in shape women here. The ratio is so much better than SEA/SFO. It's the easiest place to bike around. SEA/SFO both have good bike lane infrastructure but Boulder still tops them. Boulder has literally taken the time/expense to build a bike path system that cuts under the roads/freeways allowing you private bike access to much of the town. The bike lanes are very wide and the cars very safe/friendly.The rents here are cheaper than SEA/SFO. I paid $1175 for my room in Nopa in SF (a deal I'm told now) and I pay $566 for my room in North Boulder. Average rooms are probably closer to $1350 and $750 (respectively). People from the area feel that Boulder is really expensive but coming from the bay, it seems anything but.The access to the mountains is unparelled. Both SFO/SEA have great nature options but in Boulder they are simply closer. It's an amazing thing to be in downtown one minute, and 7 minutes biking later, you're at a trailhead for an enormous mountain trail network. This last weekend, we went an hour out of town and camped at a small lake in the mountains (with almost no one else there).Boulder has a lot of tech/startup activity, but is not saturated in it like some places. SF had really too many startup people for me. I found it hard to avoid. Boulder has tech if you want it but not if you don't.Boulder has so much more sunshine than SF or Seattle!Minor disadvantagesDiversity and nightlifeSourceThose green dots are 100 white people. Boulder is mostly white and lacking in ethnic/racial diversity. This one is a common complaint. The place is filled with people who have traveled/lived abroad and they are aware of it.Coming from the Bay Area, I miss diversity. People from different races/ethnicities tend to bring a different vibe and perspective to a city/neighborhood. I miss the wild friendly multi-ethnic dance parties of the Mission District (SF) or downtown Oakland. I miss the Indian options of SF and the ethiopian options of Seattle.NightlifeThe nightlife in Boulder is decent but a bit limited. There's one area of town called Pearl St. but it tends to fill up with mostly college kids (or people who wish they were still in their fraternity/sorority). If you weren't in a frat/sorority at some point and don't like top 40, the options are pretty limited there. Forgive the hipster low blows. There are other nightlife options (notably the excellent breweries) but they seem to be scattered around.I miss the funk, disco, afrobeat, motown, and indie electro options I got used to in the bay.For me, the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. I can always go to Denver for more diversity/nightlife.edit: I ended up moving out of Boulder after 11 months (and would have earlier if I could have). I ended up being extremely lonely and bored there. I tried to make friends through many avenues (cafes, bars, shows, Tinder, couchsurfing messages/meetups, Reddit meetups, work, coworking spaces, book shops, mountain bike groups, facebook) and ended up meeting very few people. I did equally poorly with the women there. There is next to no nightlife outside of college dive bars and top 40 music.Boulder is a pretty place with great access to nature. It has some really in-shape, educated, and health-conscious white people. But it's a really tricky place if you're not a college student or have a family. It's very cliquey/sceney. There's very little interesting music and almost nothing outside of jam, bluegrass, or top 40. Boulder is very wealthy, white, provincial and bland. If you want a small quiet life with bluegrass and a good beer on Friday night and easy access to nature for the weekend, Boulder is excellent. If you want just about anything else, I can't recommend it.

How will the legalization of marijuana for recreational use play out in Colorado?
As a fourth-generation Coloradoan, I fully expect both state and federal governments to play the moral indignation card but to ultimately resolve their differences in the form of negotiated tax breaks. In the meantime...State tourism will increase. Colorado will be known as a 420-friendly state and young people from all over will think of Colorado when they think of places they want to live, work or play. The first place you will see this is this upcoming winter season, as skiers and snowboarders choose Colorado over Utah. Actual availability won't change in the short run. Don't be breaking out the Cheetos and Goldfish so quickly. For the near-term, the only place to legally buy a quarter pounder on the 16th Street Mall will be at McDonalds. Existing medical marijuana dispensaries don't want to lose their legal status. Business owners will wait for a bit to see how the federal government chooses to deal with this legislation. Good times for attorneys and lobbyists. Uncertainty may be bad for business but good for professional advisors. There are some that believe Amendment 64 is a bellwether for similar legalization efforts across the country. In the meantime, expect unusual weather conditions as unexpectedly heavy and unpredictable fog rolls over the Front Range and the Western Slope. UPDATE: Here's a better photo, on the eve of 420 Day in Colorado.

How do I find out if I have a warrant in Colorado Springs, Colorado?
Checking to see if someone has an arrest warrant can be a good idea if you plan on employing them, entering into a relationship or inviting them closer into your life. Some people want to make sure that there are no warrants out for their arrest if they recently moved and are concerned that they didn’t get any sort of notification. In some states and counties you may be put on an arrest warrant list if you simply forgot to pay a fine or got a speeding ticket.Finding Out Your Own Arrest Warrant Status Straight from the SourceThe easiest way to determine if you have a warrant out for your arrest is to stop a police officer and ask. Explain your predicament and why you’re concerned, and they will run your identification. If you have an arrest warrant, the officer will give you a ride to the courthouse where you can sort the situation out.Using the PhoneIf you want to look up your arrest warrant status without actually getting arrested because you need time to make arrangements with a criminal defense lawyer, you can contact the court directly by phone and ask them to look up the arrest warrant status of a particular name. This method can also be used to find out if anyone else has a warrant out for their arrest. One downside to this option is that you will probably only get information on local or state arrest warrants. To find out if there are federal warrants or warrants in another state, you may need to contact a federal courthouse or the court systems in those other states for the information. Another downside is that depending on court procedures, you may need to wait several weeks to receive the warrant status in the mail. If you need it immediately, this can be a problem.Finding Arrest Warrant Status OnlineWhile there are many websites that claim to provide arrest warrant status anywhere in the United States, this can be a slippery slope. On one hand, free services often don’t provide nearly enough information to be useful, but on the other hand, paid services may be scams to hook you in to sharing your credit card information. Always do your due diligence before making any online purchases to find arrest warrant status.Using a Lawyer or Private InvestigatorLawyers and investigators are signed up for services that give them direct access to more police files than you might be able to find by looking through the Internet. Of course, you will probably have to pay a signNow amount to have a professional look up someone else’s warrant status, but you can be assured that it is accurate and thorough.
