The government has a mandate the all primary care physician are required to ask people if they have advance directives, or want info on them.I would think of it as unnecessary not rude. But if the person whose life you are celebrating had a better death due to Advance Directives, or helped someone as an organ donor through their advance directives, then it would be pertinent to the celebration of their life.
