FAQs engineer in short form
What are some good engineering colleges for CSE, for someone who scored between 190 and 195 in the JEE Main in the OBC category, e.g. Thapar University, SRM, or UPES, etc.? Also, is there any need to fill in any other engineering forms for admission to one of these colleges?I hope for obc category and judging by your score you will get iiest shibpur cse…if not nit durgapur will be available…if these are available why go for Thapar University? On the same , I would like to suggest you fill up the forms of vit , srm and bits for sure..if you get bits then life is set!!
When filling out form I-864 for a Fiance(e) Visa, what is the difference between doing (1) co-sponsorship and (2) including a house member in co-payment of the minimum financial requirement (i.e., attaching the form I-864a to I-864)?You don't do I-864 for a fiance visa. You do an I-134.
How is the competition in GATE for mechanical engineering? I want to know the relationship between gate marks i.e. out of 100 and AIR.I would not say very difficult , but it depends from person to person. As these days students don't consider pursuing M.tech unless from very good IIT and that too with with thier fav. Stream. So ,main focus through gate is on PSU's. Last time when i read the stats in mechanical approx 2Lakh students fill the form (which is highest compared to any branch) and total seats in mechanical for general is approx 350-450, which also vary year to year but the ratio approximately remains same. You have to be in top 1% or can say 1 in every 100. (all approximately)So , according to year 2015 you marks should lie between 73-85 approx i guess because in 2015 one of my close friend got 439 rank in gate and he got 78 Marks, now you can see it for yourself (btw he is working in ONGC at a starting package of 12 lakh ) So, surely getting PSU in mechanical is a tough nut to crack but as it is said the harder the struggle sweeter the result.Best of luck !Hope answer gave you the idea ! And btw. I got 55 marks i was not able to get my best branch in any iit and pursuing M.Tech from anywhere was not what i wanted. Again ! Best of Luck !Data is according to gate 2015. As 2016 result is out just few hrs back so to comment on rank wid marks is not good as of now.Edit : 2016 authenticated data .. .Obc category - 45 marks - 12376 rank.
