hello I'm dr. Angelo capozzi a plastic and reconstructive surgeon and co-founder and medical director of rotor PLAs international not all children are born perfect in fact more than 250,000 children worldwide are born with cleft lip and or talent every year most are born in the poorest parts of the world where resources are severely limited or non-existent the majority receive very limited or no treatment at all this lack of treatment is unjust and rotor plast is doing something about it roto class was established in 1992 as a world community service project of the rotary club of san francisco to help these children the name comes from merging rotary and plastic surgery rotor PLAs provides free reconstructive surgery for clefts other congenital deformities and reconstructive surgery for burn deformities our goal is to help eliminate the incidence of untreated cleft lip and palate to accomplish this we facilitate surgical missions to help children who have no access to surgery our teams
