- Hello, I'm Justin. I'm the Director of the Alcohol and Chemical Treatment Program at Ogden Regional Medical Center. So residential treatment is a treatment for people with substance use disorder in a home-like setting, you have a kitchen, you have a exercise room, you have a group room, you have community meals, and you go out and do activities in the community. So at our residential treatment program all of our rooms are private rooms, so you get your own bed, you get your own nice place to stay, do some personal journaling and that type of thing, and so, typically they'll stay here, they'll wake up in the morning, they'll have breakfast, and then they get right into their various groups. But a lot of the groups are fun, so we do activities, we do recreational therapy, we do music therapy, and then there is some processing with counselors, there is a counseling staff as well, they help really get out the heart of what it is that's causing you to use those substances.
