Hi I'm Jomo Miller with DEC's office of communications I'm joined today by Randi Walker she's a research scientist with the division of air resources hi Randi how are you good Jomo how are you good so today you're gonna be showing us how to collect an air sample using a SUMMA Canister right correct so we have this camera tripod that was in the box and you want to extend the legs all the way down and set it up so that the legs are completely out so it's nice and sturdy also inside the box is a sampling brochure so you want to read that all the way through it's got the 12 steps for taking a good air sample so it's important to cover the material in this so first things first everybody read the brochure yes that's a good idea and we also have a field log which I'll talk about in a minute okay but then our final piece of equipment is the SUMMA Canister which you only want to pick up from the sampling rim never by the sampling cane at the top there and we'll rest it against the tripod like
