[Music] it's no secret that lsu places a lot of importance on athletic performance however one may wonder what is being done to assist student athletes in their progress towards graduation as well as their performance in the classroom lsu's cox communications academic center for student athletes provides resources as well as assists student athletes in their progression towards degree this facility is a testament to the university's commitment you know to our student athletes and and making sure that we're providing them with the resources that they need to have success uh in the classroom uh in an effort to prepare them for life after lsu recently the academic center won the 2021 nclca outstanding learning center award for special populations by the national college learning center association the center serves nearly 500 student athletes each week and has maintained a graduation success rate of about 88 percent over the past four years we have a holistic approach to student athlete d
