[Music] [Music] thank you [Music] hi my name is Justine Kendall I am an associate planner here at the city of Thousand Oaks in the Community Development Department in the planning Division and what we do here is make sure that the community is moving in the direction that they've said that they want to go in I got into planning partially because growing up my parents particularly my mother were always engaged in the public process they were building a new highway near our house and she was always at the public meetings I went to some of those with her so I was familiar with the public engagement process and how important it is as a resident to be a part of you know what your city or your county or your state is doing in your community it really impacts everybody and every business in order to properly plan out our goals and dreams as a community or a society we need to think really carefully about how we put things in certain places and where they go our behavior and what impacts our q
