I ended up in Guatemala as a missionary in my mid 20s I was there for about 5 years and I worked with an organization that served the local people loved on them cared for them and I can remember this one time it was after a bad storm and a house was washed away and we're helping this family and come to find out they were a sibling group of 10 brothers and sisters uh whose mother and dad just passed away recently I can remember being on that mountain side and looking at this family these brothers and sisters and thinking what are they going to do and that was a pivotal moment for me it was a calling on my life to try and keep a sibling group together in the future so Colleen and I met uh while she was on the mission field in Guatemala um and about a week after I met her I pretty much proposed marriage um and we got married about 18 months after that for us as a family the calling was very clear uh which is to pursue adoption of a Sibling Group um and so with that we just trusted the Lor
