(upbeat music) - As a federal project officer for the Employment Training Administration I typically work directly with organizations and states and local areas that receive federal funding through the Department of Labor to administer our career and service training programs. Beyond the standard impact that the Department of Labor has on the American worker in terms of job security occupational safety, wage benefits, wage and hour, I think my impact comes in through the work that I do when it comes to providing technical assistance for career and training services and ensuring that the American worker has the opportunities equitable opportunities for advancement in their careers as well as opportunities for training and skills upgrades to provide them leverage when it comes to competitiveness in the global market but especially in the American labor market. Going home at night realizing that I played a role and had an impact across American communities, across the nation, communities
