hi I'm David Kercheval I'm superintendent of the floriculture CDE and I'm from Grandview Texas the floor culture CDE is unique in that there are 10 different components that make the event up this includes everything from a general knowledge exam problem solving which really tests the students analytical thinking skills and then actual skills that you would apply to floriculture such as Arrangements potting and pinching plants things of this nature that both in a florist and in a nursery environment it also includes a team activity which is extremely important in today's workplace because it lets the students learn how to work as a team to accomplish different projects that they will encounter in the real workplace the general knowledge examination is one part of the 10 different activities involved in floor culture and the students are expected to know about the history of floriculture they're supposed to know about the different nomenclature associated with it as well as the differen
