Renee Richard: Welcome to todays webinar, the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics/Orthotics, and Supplies Competitive Bidding Program: What You Need to Know, brought to you by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. My name is Renee Richard, and I am a health insurance specialist in the CMS Boston Regional Office. Also presenting today is Lynne Tierney, a health insurance specialist from the CMS Philadelphia Regional Office. We also have representatives from other CMS offices, as well as representatives from the Competitive Bidding Implementation Contractor. CMS has contracted with Palmetto GBA to operate as the CBIC. And they are responsible for conducting certain functions, including performing bid evaluations, selecting qualified suppliers, setting payments for all Competitive Bidding areas, and supporting CMS education efforts.
