Hello, this is Diane Williams- I'm the training  director with the LEND next steps clinic that I'm   going to tell you about today, so the goal of this  session is to introduce families of children youth   disabilities and the professionals working with  them to the purpose of the LEND next steps clinic. Something about LEND- it's the leadership  education in neurodevelopmental and related   disabilities and it's a CED program funded by  the federal maternal and child health bureau   the purpose of LEND is to  prepare graduate students   in health and related disability disciplines  to become leaders in the field of disabilities. LEND prepares leaders by immersing trainees  in clinical and classroom experiences   provides evidence-based best practices that  are taught as well as leadership skills. LEND   trainees complete an intensive academic year to  prepare for their future careers helping those   with disabilities and their families. The  LEND next steps
