Okay !Being Unemployed is other thing, but being an Unemployed Engineer is a Sin in Indian Society.Let's start from where it started.I could not find a good college after 12th so I took admission in 3rd class college in Gwalior.(1st mistake) and took ECE(2nd and bigger mistake).So I went to the college with many dreams and when I saw my faculty teaching with the help of notes and everyone worrying about everything except studies , I too started following them .I passed my whole engineering doing three things Drinking , sleeping and stalking a girl online ,thinking about her which eventually led to drinking .i had backlogs in 1st,3rd and 5th semester (3rd sem whole back).Whenever I would go to Bank for my education loan Draft to pay fee , had to submit my marksheets.I submitted forged marksheet to the bank. So during final year i managed to clear all my backlogs and I started to think seriously about my career as I had an education loan of rs 4 lacs to repay. My parents were expecting that I will fetch a good job and help them overcome family economic crisis.During placements I saw 6 pointers to 9 pointers everyone waiting in queues to get a job as low as 12k pm ,No matter what the profile is. I couldn't allow myself to do this . I tried to learn programming many times through online tutorial from many websites and books but failed. I accepted the truth ,I was neither good at programming nor I knew Engineering.Last semester was on and so there were frequent booze parties , I could not sleep even after drinking. Face of that Girl was replaced by my family and I was so tensed that I would smoke beedi if I d not have money to buy a cigarette.One day I saw sbi notification for clerks.I thought let's give a try.I filled the form and took a cheapest test available online for rs100 from Mahendras.Anyways my semester exams ended andon 17th May 2016 I left gwalior with heavy heart ,leaving behind friends, memories and student life as I had my pre exam of Sbi on 21st may in Vadodara.The Struggle- I was welcomed to my society by my Neighbors by so many questions about my degree , my job and future plans.During my engineering once I had back in whole semester and I had cleared 10 subjects in one go in my 5th semester, so I had this feeling if I fear , I will be nowhere. I cleared Sbi clerk pre and gave mains.Some good friends and wellwisher s suggested me to prepare for GATE as they believed that I could do that.But deep inside I knew I would have to start from scratch and I could not risk my year due to loan and family pressure.I had this feeling that I can clear this Bank exams ,no matter what the competition is.I prepared mainly from home as the coaching I joined was useless.I went coaching for revision of Maths and see the competitive environment. I studied from many books , many online videos ,took many tests and read many success stories( they are really helpful).During these days , I would have to answer many illiterate people what I was doing .But I found happiness in new things- playing with kids, reading newspaper , quora etc.I would help my mother in all household things . I had to travel many times from gujarat to bihar to take my exams , which was itself a challenge.I would always think about my engineering days and smile.I had no regrets. The exams I gaveSbi clerk pre cleared mains outAFCAT written cleared did not attend SSB due to dengueSsc cgl pre cleared did not appeared in mains as no preparation of English and advance maths.Ibps rrb pre cleared ,mains missed by 0.25 marksIbps po pre cleared ,mains cleared and not in final list , missed final list by less than 1 marksIbps clerk pre cleared , mains given and got Canara Bank.So this is it.Within an year , I got a job that too in a Public sector Bank.I was very sad after my rejection in PO by such small margin but now I take this in a positive way because I can prepare in a much better way for ssc in a clerk job.Many of my topper friends are still trying to find out where should they go. Many are doing odd jobs in Call centers etc. Those who are well off are still partying. I have a secure job.This is just beginning.Now I am 25 and preparing very hard to clear SSC cgl 2018. Waiting and excited for joining this Canara bank this month.One thing was clear always that I have nothing to loose and I will never be afraid of anything.I have this very supporting friend studying in IIM B who would always inspire me to look forward and support me everytime.He would say that he will repay all my loans and always try to lessen my stress.I know this is long story but believe me I have minimised it.
