After a devastating charge, the german trench was neutralized by this soldier with only a single casualty, the casualty is only wounded by a german mortar that was fired. They shoot like they already know where everyone is inside enemy line(thanks to infrared cameras :) ). They were a hero that day.

You may land under fire and have to march out. There are any number of scenarios where it becomes much more than rappelling out of a helo. To earn the badge, it becomes an idea that not only can you perform the technical, but you also meet the standard to perform in such operations competently.You could argue the same about Airborne school as well.
