[Music] hi i'm rich gannon and i supervise the division of water resources non-point source planning program the division works to protect and restore the quality and quantity of waters in the state's rivers lakes and estuaries and while most division programs are dedicated to the important work of protection the 319 grant within nonpoint source planning has the privilege of supporting restoration initiatives the grant funds voluntary local efforts that can actually improve the quality of our waterways specifically water is degraded by land-based pollution sources or in other words primarily rainfall runoff that picks up pollutants on its way to streams ultimately the grant assists the efforts of willing local governments and non-profits to improve the quality of recreation fishing and drinking water around the state not to mention the quality of life for all the other biota that rely on our state's waters rishi basta cody our 319 grant coordinator will give you some more details [Musi
