AIIMS has introduced the PAAR facility (Prospective Applicant Advanced Registration) for filling up the application form. Through PAAR facility, the process application form is divided into two steps- basic registration and final registration.Basic Registration:On this part you have to fill up your basic details like Full name, parent’s name, date of birth, gender, category, state of domicile, ID proof/number and others. No paAIIMS Final RegistrationA Code will be issued to the candidates who complete the Basic Registration. You have to use the same code to login again and fill the form.At this stage, candidates are required to fill out the entire details of their personal, professional and academic background. Like others have said, it is what you make of it, like any city.  Vegas can be the craziest, wildest, most dynamic, and exciting city you have ever lived in.  On the flipside though, most of us live in a different world than the 40 million visitors who visit a year.  Contrary to what many people think, Las Vegas is a pretty much normal town with many churches, schools, libraries, parks, and recreation.  We go to school or work, attend our kid's softball games, and rarely venture out to the Strip, usually when relatives are in town.  Most times we just sit in our mostly new, stucco and Spanish-tile roofed houses, like average folks in our easy chair, enjoying the benefits of modern air-conditioners while the temps in the Summer climb to over 115 degrees.  One of the great things about living in Vegas is the 24-hour access to great restaurants, nightlife, and even shopping at 3 in the am (seriously do you know how many people I have seen at Walmart shopping for groceries when the rest of the world is asleep?) .  Because there are a lot of residents that work in the hospitality industry at all hours of the day and night, it is not unusual to see people at a car dealership looking at prospective vehicles at 2 in the morning, especially along Sahara Ave. The traffic is bad, I won't lie, but it depends on when and where you are.  The freeways like the 215 beltway on the west side of town between Durango north all the way to Summerlin Parkway, usually moves fast and is rarely clogged.  Others like I-15 from Tropicana north to Charleston, is frequently jammed and every day it seems like the news warns us about an overturned semi or a suicidal jumper near the Spaghetti Bowl.   In the other direction the 215 going from the west to Henderson, is not bad a lot of the times, but tends to back up off of Paradise and the Airport Connector.  Most of the surface streets are laid out well, with wide lanes in a traditional urban grid pattern.  During rush hour, it is very easy to hop off of the backed up freeways and take surface streets to your destination.  Some major cities like LA and San Fran are a nightmare to navigate when you do this, and you could spend hours taking one road after another just to get back to where you started.  Downsides to life in Vegas:  After graduating from high school and college from here, I have a unique perspective about the educational system.  It is in a word, 'bad,' we have the highest drop-out rate, the highest teen pregnancy rate, the lowest percentage of students seeking college degrees, the lowest per pupil spending, and the lowest student-teacher ratio (often with classes of 35 or more students crammed into modular classrooms squeezed onto campus).  Some teachers here have a frequent habit of getting into inappropriate sexual encounters with students, and a lot of the times, background checks the CCSD performs are superficial at best, and at worst, borders on incompetence (my opinion anyhow).   Sex is everywhere here.  On billboards on and off the Strip, strip clubs seem to be omnipresent, and more women are involved in the sex trade then almost anywhere else in the world, except maybe Bangkok.  Sex trafficking of minors is a big problem in Vegas, as many teenage runaways come here from Iowa in hopes of living life in the fast lane.  Areas to avoid are Charleston near Downtown and the Stratosphere, and Mojave and Eastern in the northeast.  Politics and Corruption:  Back in the day, Vegas was notorious for the mob, and still today political officials frequently get busted for bribery and extortion.  Other than that, the mob is no longer here (maybe trash services).  Cabs and Public Transportation:  Taxis are everywhere here and most visitors know what its like to be at a casino and have thirty cabs waiting to take them to the next destination all lined up in a row outside a casino.  Cabs near the Strip often take visitors to the best strip joint in town, being paid by the various strip clubs to take them there with the claims of each one being better than the rest.  The CAT bus system is pretty good for residents, and usually on time with professional and courteous drivers.  The double decker Ace bus is great.  Obviously there is no subway system here, and most people own a car, but the plus side is that unlike LA, Vegas is not that spread out, so it doesn't take long to get from one end of town to the other.Anyway, for more info about what it is really like to live in Vegas, check out my blog.   Thanks for reading (:  -Michael

I was stationed as a Marine at MCAS Miramar in San Diego. Then after I got out of the Corps I stayed in North County San Diego near Camp Pendleton as I pursued my career in Magic & Comedy.After a while an opportunity to perform my act in Vegas came around in 2009. I left Southern California and have been in Vegas ever since.I’m going to tell you that who knows how in the hell anyone can have an estimate of what that number will be. But I’m going to tell you that it is A LOT. I perform magic in front of people night after night for years at a major casino. And the amount of groups that say, “We’re from California.” Is ridiculous. Easily 7 out of 10 groups.It is too easy to get from Cali to Vegas and I have known a lot of people that will either drive or fly for one day and return.

My feeling is that outside the affected communities, no one is really paying that close attention to what happened. There is a little outrage on some of the news. But more or less, people don’t seem to care.People are asking for motives for the shooter. They want to blame a group of people, but angry old white dudes can’t be targeted — you can’t put almost all the Members of Congress on a watch list. So may be he was “radicalized” or was mentally ill or was having money problems or etc.I personally think this motivational blame game is futile because if anyone with some money can buy these weapons, someone out of the 300+M people in the US will have the motivation to commit these atrocities.If the shooter was a person from the Middle East, I’m sure there’d be outrage and calls for actions. Maybe we’d be invading a country if they were from an “axis of evil” (that we haven’t already invaded).Generally, there is just sad resignation that politicians won’t do anything. Ultimately this country only cares about who shoots people not the people who are shot.The one piece of legislative action might be to outlaw the modifications that turned semi-automatic weapons into near-automatic weapons. But I’m not holding my breath. I’m sure that the NRA would craft it in a sufficiently specific way that it wouldn’t be meaningful.

CES can be overwhelming if a visitor doesn't plan their show itinerary in advance. I have attended CES the last four years. Wear good walking shoes. Plan to arrive as soon as the venues open. CES gets more crowded as the day goes in. CES fills the convention centers and hosting casino resorts which are big spaces. I access all the resources CES makes available online to identify what I want to see and when I want to see it. I plan two days of visits. The first day I visit general areas of interest to me that I identified with CES online tools, and I stroll around taking notes of booths I want to spend time at. Then on the second day I visit the booths in which I am specifically intetested. Get one of the many freebie bags to carry your tchotchkes and brochures.I never eat in either of the convention centers. There is plenty of better, less expensive food outside the convention centers. However, the restaurants in the casino resorts also hosting CES are overwhelmed. I seek out dining options away from the venues. If you're staying on the strip the monorail is a good way to navigate to CES venues. It is very busy and crowded during CES, so be patient and allow plenty of travel time. There are kiosks to purchase a fare card. Uber, Lyft and taxi services are also often overwhelmed, and they get trapped in heavy traffic, so they may not be a better alternative to the monorail. The public bus system has a service called The Deuce that has a continuous route from Fremont Street, along The Strip to the south end, and then north up The Strip back to Fremont St. They are very frequent, but can also become very crowded. You have to purchase a fare card to use The Deuce or any bus. There are also traditional bus routes traveling through and around Fremont St. and The Strip. The RTC, which operates the bus system, has a great app to plan your route, find a kiosk to buy fare cards, etc.
