the Canmore public libraryies Community swaps introducing our clothing swaparama and our full moon swaps our clothing swaparama is a biannual clothing swap held in the spring and the fall we then expanded upon this idea to create our full moon swaps which are monthly themed swaps inspired by the full moon that month both of these Community swaps are the library's way of trying to help address the high cost of living in Canmore and to help keep items out of the landfill and get them into the hands of those who need them with our swaps we have three main goals to reuse reduce waste and recycle to remove the stigma of receiving and using previously owned items and to offer an alternative to donating items to secondhand retail stores it all started with a clothing swap the idea was simple we'd collect clo clothing donations from our community and then organize and set them up for everyone to come browse and take home a new to them wardrobe all at no cost by our second clothing swap we had
